Wipro, a prominent technology company, recently underwent a change in leadership with the resignation of Thierry Delaporte from his role as chief executive officer (CEO). The company made this announcement through a regulatory filing and also revealed that Srinivas Pallia would assume the position of the new CEO and managing director.
Srini Pallia, a seasoned Wipro veteran with over three decades of experience, recently assumed the role of CEO after serving as CEO for Americas 1, Wipro's largest and fastest-growing strategic market.
During his tenure at Wipro, Srini Pallia led various industry sectors, formulated strategic objectives, and implemented growth strategies that significantly enhanced the company's market presence. His extensive leadership experience includes serving as President of Wipro’s Consumer Business Unit and Global Head of Business Application Services.
In a statement, Wipro highlighted Srini's proven track record of leadership during significant technological transformations within the industry. His academic background, including a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s in management studies from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, coupled with executive programs at prestigious institutions like Harvard Business School and the McGill Executive Institute, further reinforces his expertise.
Srini Pallia will be based in New Jersey and will report directly to Chairman Rishad Premji.
