LPG Price Surprise! Big cut of Rs 39.5 for commercial cylinders in metro cities – Check rates 

A major relief for LPG consumers as state-run oil marketing companies on Friday slashed prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 39.50 with immediate effect. However, rates for domestic cylinders remain unchanged for now.

With the revision, a 19kg commercial LPG cylinder will cost Rs 1,757 in Delhi compared to Rs 1,796.50 previously. In Kolkata, the price drops from Rs 1,907 to Rs 1,868.

In Mumbai, a 19kg commercial cylinder will now retail at Rs 1,710 instead of Rs 1,749.50 earlier. Chennai sees the steepest cut from Rs 1,986 to Rs 1,929 per cylinder.

The reduction comes as a relief to small businesses like restaurants and food stalls that extensively use commercial LPG cylinders. But no changes have been announced in the prices of domestic cylinders used by households.

Earlier on November 17, OMCs had cut 19kg commercial LPG price by up to Rs 57.5 per cylinder. However, they had increased domestic LPG rates by Rs 50 per cylinder in Delhi last month.
