One of the most expensive homes in the world has recently been acquired by Indian business tycoon Pankaj Oswal in Switzerland. The property is estimated to be worth an amazing $200 million, or over ₹1,649 crores in Indian currency.

According to the sources, it takes just 13 minutes to get from Geneva to the property, which is situated in the Canton of Vaud in Gingins. Vasundhara and Ridi, the daughters of Pankaj and his wife Radhika are honoured by having their villa known as ‘Villa Vari.’

The villa was owned by Christina Onassis, a Greek entrepreneur, socialite, and heir to the Onassis wealth, who owned the mansion before the purchase. Aristotle Onassis erected the opulent home in 1902.

After undergoing renovations, the villa currently features 12 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, a tennis court, a swimming pool, and a helipad. With the aid of renowned Jeffrey Wilkes, the Oswals have lavishly refurbished it and filled it with expensive furnishings from around the globe. He previously created the Leela, Mandarin Oriental, and Oberoi Rajvilas hotels.

The property contains a wellness wing, a gold-fitted spa, and a private gym. Large French windows have been included in the architecture, providing views of the surrounding gardens and snow-capped mountains. The size of this rural retreat is 40,000 square metres.

Who is Pankaj Oswal?

The industrialist Abhay Kumar Oswal’s son, Pankaj Oswal, has a $3 billion fortune. The Oswal Group Global is owned by Pankaj. He studied at the Manipal Institute of Technology and after completing his studies he worked at several enterprises of his father. Petrochemicals, real estate, fertilisers, and mining in Africa, India, Australia, and Switzerland are also included in the conglomerate’s corporate portfolio. Additionally, the corporation controls Burrup Fertilisers, an Australian business that ranks among the top manufacturers of liquid ammonia globally.
