New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has officially tabled the Economic Survey 2024 in the Lok Sabha, marking a crucial step ahead of its presentation in the Rajya Sabha scheduled for later today at 2:00 pm. The survey, a comprehensive assessment of India's economic performance and outlook, sets the stage for discussions preceding the upcoming Union Budget. Chief Economic Adviser Anantha Nageswaran is slated to host a press conference following the presentation, where he will delve into the key insights and projections outlined in the survey.

In a prelude to tomorrow's Union Budget presentation, Foreign Minister underscored the resilience of the Indian economy, emphasizing its robust recovery trajectory post-pandemic challenges. The minister's remarks align with the Economic Survey's conservative estimate that India's real GDP is poised to grow at approximately 6.6% to 6.7% in the financial year 2024-25.
