Expanding its reach in India, IKEAs partnership with Rhenus to establish a warehouse near Gurugram is a strategic move. By locating closer to Delhi-NCR, one of Indias major metropolitan areas, IKEA aims to streamline its supply chain and enhance accessibility to its products for customers in the region. This move not only demonstrates IKEAs commitment to the Indian market but also reflects the growing demand for its products in urban centers like Delhi.According to the sources, Swedish furniture company IKEA on Tuesday announced its partnership with Rhenus, a global logistic player, to support the e-commerce expansion and deliveries to consumers in Delhi and NCR. The move aims at fast and sustainable deliveries to customers in the region.As per the official statement, the company will establish warehouse facilities for over 7000 products. It is anticipated that the warehouse will be live by the beginning of next year. The company also promises to deliver the products to the consumers within 24 hours, making it a significant milestone in IKEAs expansion in India.Warehouse facility at GurugramCurrently, the warehouse facility located at Gurugram is spread over 150,000 square feet and is very well connected via, road, rail and air. The facility is expected to be open by next year.The first store in IndiaNotably, IKEA first made its presence in India with a retail store in Hyderabad in August 2018, and now has its presence in Bengaluru, Navi Mumbai, and two stores in Mumbai. Adding another store, the brand will soon be available for consumers in Delhi and NCR.
