In a move to provide some relief to business and commercial enterprises, the oil marketing companies have reduced the prices of commercial LPG cylinders. The change is effective from June 1, 2024, the rate of 19kg commercial cylinder has been slashed by Rs 69.50 in the national capital and will now be available at Rs 1676, till further change.It is worth noting that this reduction has come on the heels of the slashed prices on May 1, when it was reduced by Rs 19. The price subsequent price reductions indicate a promising development for companies facing operating expenses in the face of economic challenges.LPG cylinder prices fluctuate at the start of each new month. The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, which offers subsidies to qualifying families, is one of the several programs the government is doing to encourage the use of LPG cylinders for cooking in homes.Last reduction in prices of commercial cylinderOil marketing companies lowered the cost of commercial LPG gas cylinders by Rs 19 per unit on May 1 in Delhi retailed for Rs 1745.50 at that time.Notably, the reduced prices of commercial LPG cylinders can benefit various businesses and industries that rely on them for their operations. It could also potentially ease the financial burden on small businesses and encourage more usage of clean energy sources.
