After the delay and cancellation of several flights, the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) sought a detailed report from Vistara Airlines for the inconvenience caused to passengers. According to the sources, the airline has canceled or delayed over 100 flights in the past week.

The move from the ministry on Tuesday has come after numerous delays and cancellations in flights.

At least 38 flights have been canceled this morning due to a shortage of pilots, the flights were scheduled to depart from important cities. Among the canceled flights were up to 15 that were scheduled to depart from Mumbai, 12 from Delhi, and 11 from Bengaluru.

This update has come after yesterday with over 160 delayed and over 50 canceled Vistara flights. One of the travelers criticized the airline for harassing them and berated them for their poor communication and lengthy airport waits yesterday while speaking to the media house.

In a statement released yesterday, Vistara claimed that "many reasons, including crew unavailability," have resulted in a "significant number" of flight cancellations and delays over the last several days.

The airlines also added that they are working to offer alternate flight options or refunds to affected customers and also asked for an apology for the inconvenience.

According to aviation sources, the situation has developed after several pilots refused to operate due to long duty hours.
