India's leading Billionaire and Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani has received a death threat email earlier this week, asking for Rupees 20 crore.

Billionaire and Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani received a death threat email earlier this week, police said. In the email, the sender threatened Ambani of killing him if the industrialist failed to give him ₹ 20 crore.

"If you don't give us 20 crore rupees, we will kill you. We have the best shooters in India," the email said.

According to the police, the threats were sent to a person named Shadab Khan on October 27. The news about the death threats was brought to the police’s notice by the security officials at Ambani’s residence, Antilia.

A probe has been launched by the police regarding the death threats.

In a similar incident the Mumbai Police had arrested a man from Bihar who made anonymous death threat calls to Mukesh Ambani and his family last year. The caller had threatened to "blow up" the HN Reliance Foundation Hospital along with 'Antilia', the Ambani family residence in south Mumbai.
