Apple released the visionOS software development kit (SDK) through an announcement on its website. The SDK is a set of tools that will allow developers to create applications that will run on its newly unveiled Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset.

The tech giants introduced the Apple Vision Pro, which is the company’s first foray into spatial computer, on social media earlier this month. It carries a price tag of $3,499 (approximately ₹2.9 lakh). It is supposed to go on sale next year.

Developers can now create applications for Vision Pro

The release of the visionOS SDK will give developers opportunity to make cutting-edge apps for the Vision Pro mixed reality headset. This is an extremely lucrative opportunity for software engineers, as the Vision Pro technology lets them utilise an infinite canvas.

The developers can download the SDK tools from Apple’s website, and can use a Vision Pro simulator to build and test their apps. The SDK will allow the creation of apps from the scratch, and it even allows developers to port their existing apps made for other platforms.
