Compact SUVs are the best-selling segment in India. Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara are some of the top models in this segment. To match them, Toyota has introduced its most affordable SUV in a new avatar. Toyota Kirloskar Motor has introduced the new 2025 model of Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder also comes with a host of new features along with a new variant. The most intriguing aspect is that the new Urban Cruiser Hyryder has received the launch of the new AWD model with an auto gearbox. The price of the new model of the Hyryder will now begin at Rs 11.34 lakh ex-showroom.
The new features are given in all the variants of the SUV. The top-end variant of the 2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder receives an eight-way power adjustable driver seat, ventilated front seats, a new AQI display, a new speedometer, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), Type-C USB charging port, ambient lighting, rear door sunshades, LED readings and spot lamps.
The top-spec V trim of the 2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder now gets a six-speed automatic gearbox, which comes with an all-wheel drive (AWD) setup. But the AWD setup is not available with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Not only this, now six airbags will be available with all the SUV models. Earlier, the base models of the SUV were only offering dual front airbags. The SUV is far safer now. Apart from this, electronic parking brake system will also be available in automatic models. The Urban Cruiser is still offering the same engine options as before.
Toyota Urban Cruiser starts from Rs 11.34 lakh for the lowest model and goes up to ₹19.99 lakh for the top variant. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder competes against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and MG Aster. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hybrid is claimed to have a mileage of 19-28 km/l.
