Tata Nexon Facelift 2024: Five new variants to be unveiled, here's what you need to know

New Delhi: Tata Motors has unveiled an expansion to its lineup with the introduction of five new automatic variants for the 2024 facelift of the Tata Nexon. The prices for these variants start from ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom). This move significantly enhances the range of choices available to consumers, as the Tata Nexon now boasts a total of 95 trims across various drivetrain and variant options.

Automatic transmission options

The latest addition to the Tata Nexon lineup includes variants equipped with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) for both petrol and diesel engine options. Previously, AMT variants were limited to the Creative trims and above. In the petrol segment, the Nexon Smart , Pure, and Pure S versions now come with the AMT gearbox. Similarly, among the diesel variants, the Nexon Pure and Pure S variants are now available with the AMT transmission.

The newly introduced variants offer a diverse range of features at competitive price points. The pricing for these variants is as follows:

  • Petrol Engine:
    • Smart : ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom)
    • Pure: ₹10.5 lakh (ex-showroom)
    • Pure S: ₹11 lakh (ex-showroom)
  • Diesel Engine:
    • Pure: ₹11.8 lakh (ex-showroom)
    • Pure S: ₹12.30 lakh (ex-showroom)

Unchanged performance

Despite the introduction of new variants, the mechanical aspects of the Tata Nexon remain consistent. The petrol engine continues to feature a 1.2L Turbocharged Revotron engine, delivering 86.99 BHP and 170 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel engine is equipped with a 1.5L Turbocharged Revotorq engine, producing 83.34 BHP and 260 Nm of torque. Both engine options are available with manual, AMT, and DCT gearbox configurations.
