New Delhi: Suzuki Motorcycle India, a leading player in the country's two-wheeler market, has disclosed its sales figures for December 2023, showcasing a remarkable performance. The company proudly announced a total of 79,483 units sold during the month, comprising both domestic and export markets. This reflects a substantial 24 percent year-on-year growth, a notable surge from the 63,912 units sold in December 2022.

Key contributors to success

The stellar sales performance is attributed to the robust demand for Suzuki's popular models, including the Suzuki Access 125, Burgman Street 125, and the Gixxer 155 and 250 range. These models have played a pivotal role in driving the company's success.

Domestic market dominance

Suzuki Motorcycle India witnessed an impressive domestic sales figure of 69,025 units in December. This marks a significant growth of 68.74 percent, showcasing the brand's stronghold in the Indian market. However, the export segment experienced a marginal dip compared to the 40,905 units shipped in the same month in 2022.

International outreach

The company successfully exported 10,457 units globally, contributing to its overall sales performance. In December last year, a total of 23,007 units were exported, highlighting Suzuki Motorcycle India's commitment to international markets.

Devashish Handa, EVP Sales, Marketing, and After Sales at Suzuki Motorcycle India, expressed his satisfaction with the sales results. Despite the absence of new product launches in recent times, Handa highlighted the brand's stability in maintaining robust sales figures. The last noteworthy addition to Suzuki's lineup was the Suzuki V-Strom 250 SX, introduced in 2022.
