Bajaj Chetak 2024: Bajaj, after introducing the refreshed 'Urbane' variant of its electric scooter in late 2023, is now ready to hit the market with the 2024 Chetak Premium. This top-of-the-line Chetak model boasts a subtle visual makeover, a new digital dashboard, an upgraded battery, and improved range.

Visually Enhanced Yet Familiar Design

While the overall design remains true to its iconic style, the 2024 Chetak Premium flaunts a few visual enhancements. Darkened surrounds now adorn all lighting elements, and the wheel rim proudly features a distinctive 'Chetak' decal, adding a touch of flair.

Upgraded Dashboard for the Ultimate Riding Experience

A significant upgrade is the modernised dashboard. The circular display seen on the entry-level model makes way for a full-colour TFT display, exclusive to the 'Tecpac' variant (standard Chetak Premium will feature a monochrome display). The new screen allows easy access to functions via handlebar-mounted switches and incorporates turn-by-turn navigation, notification alerts, and music play/pause functions.

App Integration for Enhanced Connectivity

Buyers can elevate their riding experience with app-based features enabled through a smartphone app. The 'Tecpac' variant offers geo-fencing, ride data access, analytics, and more. While navigation and music controls enhance the ride, these app-based features won't be available on the standard Chetak Premium.

Power-Packed Performance

The 2024 Chetak Premium boasts a larger fixed 3.2 kWh battery, providing an extended certified range of up to 126 kilometres. The Tecpac version features sequential turn indicators, an onboard charger, and a slightly reshaped underseat storage for added convenience. Both variants now reach a top speed of 73 kmph.

Anticipated Pricing

The standard and Tecpac variants of the Chetak are expected to be competitively priced between Rs 1.25-1.35 lakh (ex-showroom). This update puts the Chetak on par with the popular TVS iQube S, offering a colour display advantage that was previously unavailable on the Chetak.
