Tata Motors has introduced the much-awaited Altroz Racer in the Indian market, adding a sportier edge to its popular hatchback lineup. The Altroz Racer comes in three variants: R1, R2, and R3, priced at Rs. 9.49 lakh, Rs. 10.49 lakh, and Rs. 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

Setting itself apart from the standard Altroz, the Racer edition boasts eye-catching dual-tone paint schemes that extend to the bonnet. The exterior features twin white stripes on the hood and roof, blacked-out pillars, grille, ORVMs, shark-fin antenna, and alloy wheels. It's adorned with 'Racer' badges, blacked-out Altroz lettering on the tailgate, and a dual-tip exhaust system.

Vibrant colour options

Customers can choose from three vibrant exterior hues: Atomic Orange, Pure Grey, and Avenue White. Each color option comes with a striking dual-tone black finish with white stripes as standard.

Sporty interior with enhanced features

Inside, the Altroz Racer boasts a blacked-out cabin with contrasting red accents on the center console, dashboard, AC vents, and seat upholstery. It's equipped with a range of premium features including a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless charger, seven-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, and an air purifier. Additional offerings include a 360-degree surround camera, blind spot monitor, automatic climate control, cruise control, and an electrically adjustable single-pane sunroof.

Powerful performance

Under the hood, the Altroz Racer packs the Nexon’s 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, paired exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox. This engine delivers a robust 118bhp and 170Nm of peak torque.

Who is Altroz Racer competition?

Prior to the launch of the Altroz Racer, the performance hatchback segment was dominated solely by the Hyundai i20 N Line. With the entry of the Altroz Racer, enthusiasts in this segment now have a formidable alternative, enriching the market with more choices and competition.
