New Delhi: Bajaj Auto is gearing up for a grand launch of the updated Chetak electric scooter on January 9, ushering in a new era of style, performance, and innovation. With significant enhancements in range, speed, and features, the 2024 Chetak promises to be a game-changer in the electric scooter landscape.

Extended range, faster speeds

Leaked details hint at a notable upgrade in the Chetak's range, providing an impressive 127 km on a single charge. This enhancement is attributed to the introduction of a larger 3.2 kWh battery pack, replacing the current 2.88 kWh version. The enhanced battery, coupled with an increased top speed of 73 km per hour, positions the 2024 Chetak as a frontrunner in the electric scooter segment.

Tech-savvy features for a seamless ride

One of the standout features of the 2024 Chetak comes with a new TFT screen, replacing the existing round LCD unit. This modern display is expected to bring advanced features like turn-by-turn navigation, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), remote lock/unlock, Bluetooth connectivity, and more. Additionally, the under-seat storage capacity is set to increase to 21 liters, offering enhanced utility for riders.

Performance, utility redefined

Known for its all-metal body, the Chetak has established itself as one of Bajaj's finest two-wheelers. Originally launched in 2020, this electric scooter has undergone several updates over the years, and the upcoming version is poised to elevate its performance and utility to new heights.

Competitive positioning, price surge

With the anticipated improvements, Bajaj aims to position the Chetak more competitively in the market, aligning it with formidable rivals such as the TVS iQube, Ather 450X, Simple One, and Ola S1 Pro. While the upgrades are sure to enhance the scooter's appeal, an associated price increase is expected, reflecting the advancements and placing the Chetak at the forefront of electric mobility.

As the automotive world eagerly awaits the January 9 unveiling, the revamped Bajaj Chetak is poised to redefine electric scooters, setting new benchmarks in range, speed, and features.
