New Delhi: The biggest news comes for those considering the base model. Previously priced at ₹79,999 (ex-showroom), the S1 with a 2 kWh battery pack can now be purchased for just ₹69,999 (ex-showroom) – a direct reduction of ₹10,000. This brings the cost closer to traditional petrol scooters, potentially tipping the scales for eco-conscious consumers.

Price cuts across all S1 variants

The price reductions extend beyond the base model. The S1 with a 3 kWh battery pack now starts at ₹84,999 (ex-showroom), down from ₹89,999 (ex-showroom). This price adjustment further strengthens Ola's position in the mid-range electric scooter segment.

Ola Electric aims to accelerate EV adoption

Ola Electric believes these price cuts will significantly increase the affordability of electric scooters for consumers, ultimately accelerating the adoption of electric mobility across India. With a wider range of price points and features catered to diverse needs, Ola is well-positioned to capture a larger share of the burgeoning Indian electric two-wheeler market.

Electric motorcycles and electric cars

While the S1 price cuts grab the spotlight today, Ola Electric is also making significant strides in the electric vehicle space beyond scooters. The company is currently developing four electric motorcycles scheduled for launch later in 2024, and they've already showcased concept designs for these exciting new additions. Additionally, Ola Electric is working on an electric car, further solidifying their commitment to a sustainable future for Indian transportation.
