Ultraviolet Shockwave Electric Bike (File )
Ultraviolette has recently introduced its first electric enduro bike. If you also want to purchase this bike, you need to strap up your wallet. The price of the first 1000 bookings is Rs 1.50 lakh, but after that, you need to shell out Rs 1.75 lakh. Weighing a mere 120 kg, the electric bike makes 14.7hp and 505Nm, with 0-60 runs at 2.9 seconds. It has a top speed of 120 km/h and with its scooter sibling, this new-gen bike will roll into the showrooms by next year.
Meanwhile, the IDC series has been reportedly having a claimed range of 165 km. The rest of the features come with a 200 mm telescopic fork and a preload adjustable monoshock with 180 mm travel. You will also be equipped with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels with discs on both ends.
Now that we have obtained all the details, let's go ahead and have a look at the bike. Its quality and design are simply superb with a futuristic look, and also it is extremely light in weight. Everything is there, particularly the design of the LED headlight or the combination of the seat and tail pieces.
There is weight or lack of it too, and range in the real world is likely to be the only limiting factor. We liked the styling as much as the performance on offer while it will go along with its category of petrol motorbikes. However, as it is electric, there is additional performance too. On the price side, the spec sheet is great and so is the styling, while getting the product out and keeping the demand in order has to be negotiated for this motorcycle manufacturer.
