Market dominance: Ola Electric claims 52% share in electric two-wheeler segment with record sales

Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ola Electric recently announced its sales figures for April 2024. According to data from the Vahan registration portal, the company registered 34,000 new vehicles, marking a substantial 54% increase compared to the previous year. This surge in registrations reaffirms Ola Electric's strong position in the market, outpacing competitors like Ather Energy, TVS, and Bajaj.

Dominance in electric two-wheeler segment

With a 52% market share in the electric two-wheeler segment for April 2024, Ola Electric continues to lead the pack. This achievement comes alongside the company's second-highest-ever registration numbers recorded during the month. The upcoming deliveries of the S1 X model are expected to further bolster these numbers, marking Ola Electric's entry into the mass-market electric two-wheeler segment.

Anshul Khandelwal, Chief Marketing Officer at Ola Electric, expressed enthusiasm about the company's performance. He highlighted the crossing of the 52% market share milestone and attributed it to their diverse scooter portfolio and efficient manufacturing processes. The imminent launch of the S1 X range is poised to expand Ola Electric's presence in India's mass-market electric two-wheeler space.

Competitive pricing in segment

To maintain competitiveness, Ola Electric recently revised the prices of its S1 X range. The introductory prices start at ₹69,999 (ex-showroom) for the 2 kWh variant, making it an attractive option in the market. The S1 X 3 kWh variant is priced at ₹84,999, while the 4 kWh variant is priced at ₹99,999 (ex-showroom).

Additionally, the S1 X+ is priced at ₹84,999, the S1 Air at ₹1.05 lakh, and the S1 Pro at ₹1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The company also introduced an 8-year/80,000 km extended battery warranty across its range at no extra cost, with an option to extend it further to 1.25 lakh km for an additional ₹12,999.
