The XUV300 also takes the lead in the diesel engine category, offering greater power than the Nexon. Mahindra's SUV houses a 1.5-litre diesel engine that generates 117 bhp power and 300 Nm of torque, while the Tata Nexon's 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 115 bhp power and 260 Nm of torque.
Safety is another realm where the Mahindra XUV300 stands out as one of the safest cars in its class. It surpasses Nexon in terms of safety, securing a 5-star rating for adult protection and a 4-star rating for child protection in the Global NCAP (GNCAP) crash test. In comparison, the Tata Nexon boasts a 5-star rating for adult protection and a 3-star rating for child protection. In this regard, the XUV300 showcases a sturdier structure than the Nexon.
The XUV300 comes equipped with an impressive array of features, including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a single-pane sunroof, and cruise control.
