New Delhi: In an electrifying debut, British car manufacturer Lotus has set its wheels in India with the launch of the Eletre, touted as the world's fastest dual-motor electric SUV. This powerhouse on wheels promises an unprecedented top speed of 265kmph, revolutionizing the electric vehicle landscape in the country.

Eletre: The speed maverick

Lotus has officially introduced the Eletre R in India, making a bold statement with its remarkable performance capabilities. Boasting a top speed of 265kmph, this dual-motor electric SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km in a jaw-dropping 2.95 seconds. The Eletre R is set to redefine the standards of speed and efficiency in the electric vehicle segment.

Lotus Eletre: Variants, prices

The Lotus Eletra lineup in India consists of three variants—Eletre, Eletre S, and Eletre R. Priced competitively, the Eletre comes at Rs 2.55 crore, the Eletre S at Rs 2.75 crore, and the high-performance Eletre R at Rs 2.99 crore, all ex-showroom pan India.

Next Up: Emira mid-engine sportscar

Lotus has also hinted at the introduction of the Emira mid-engine sportscar in India next year. Offering two powertrain options, the Emira will be equipped with a 2.0L inline four-cylinder turbo engine, generating around 360hp, and a V6 supercharged unit producing a robust 400hp. With a range of 600 km on a single charge, the Emira promises a thrilling driving experience.

The Lotus Eletre R boasts an immersive 'Digital Cockpit' cabin, real-time 3D content and experiences, dual Qualcomm 8155 system-on-chips, touchscreen functionality, multi-screen user experience, OTA updates, and Dolby Atmos technology.
