Kia Clavis: Kia, a prominent player in the Indian automotive industry, is gearing up to introduce a new SUV to its lineup with the anticipated launch of the Kia Clavis. Recently spotted testing on Indian roads, the Clavis SUV is set to fill the gap between the Sonet and the Seltos, ushering in a new segment in the Indian automotive market. While the exact launch date remains unconfirmed, industry experts speculate that the Kia Clavis will make its debut by the end of 2024, with the official launch expected in early 2025.

Kia Clavis: Camouflaged Test Mule

The Kia Clavis test mule was spotted heavily camouflaged, concealing its major design elements. Despite the camouflage, discerning observers noted the SUV's distinctive boxy shape, adorned with long vertical LED Daytime Running Lamps. Estimated to measure around 4.2 meters in length, the Clavis SUV is poised to offer a 5-seater configuration, catering to the preferences of Indian consumers.

Kia Clavis: Design Elements and Features

Drawing inspiration from Kia's flagship electric vehicle, the EV9, the Clavis boasts rear tail lamps positioned vertically, hinting at its futuristic design language. Additionally, features such as a rear wiper and roof rails are expected to enhance functionality and aesthetic appeal. On the other hand, the diesel variant will likely be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, ensuring a dynamic and responsive driving experience.
