New Delhi: Jeep is gearing up to introduce the facelifted version of its iconic Wrangler SUV in the Indian market on April 22. Following its global debut, the Wrangler facelift promises a refreshed design and a host of exciting features. Notable updates include a sleek all-black grille, replacing the previous seven-slat design, along with a range of alloy wheel options spanning from 17 to 20 inches and multiple roof configurations.

Enhanced features and options

The revamped Wrangler boasts a range of roof options, including standard soft top, body-color hard top, black hard top, and dual-door groups with half doors. Inside the cabin, drivers will find a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by Jeep's Uconnect 5 platform, offering a suite of connected features such as Trails Offroad Guide and access to popular off-road trails. Additionally, the redesigned interior features repositioned AC vents below the infotainment screen, enhancing overall aesthetics while maintaining the familiar layout.

Powertrain and performance

Under the hood, the India-spec Wrangler facelift will be equipped with a potent 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, delivering an impressive output of 270hp power and 400Nm torque. Paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission and Jeep's Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system, the Wrangler facelift promises robust performance both on and off the road. It is set to become the sole variant in the country offering this powertrain option.

Luxury and connectivity

In addition to performance enhancements, the Wrangler facelift introduces luxury features such as 12-way power adjustable front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility, along with a new semi-digital instrument cluster. Currently available in two variants—Unlimited and Rubicon—the Wrangler's ex-showroom prices start at Rs 62.65 lakh and Rs 66.65 lakh, respectively. With its array of upgrades, the Wrangler facelift is poised to rival competitors like the Land Rover Defender in the Indian SUV market.

As anticipation builds for the Wrangler facelift's official launch, enthusiasts and prospective buyers eagerly await the opportunity to experience Jeep's legendary off-road prowess coupled with contemporary design and cutting-edge technology. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated release.
