Bajaj Auto is gearing up to revive and launch an affordable variant of its iconic Chetak model.  The electric scooter range will soon be available, while the launch date is reportedly scheduled for some point in May. The corporation has not disclosed an exact date yet, though. The car will be positioned halfway between the Premium and Urbane models. It will have an aggressive design, a single-seat arrangement, LED headlights, LED taillamps, and a back seat handle, among other styling cues, similar to the present series.

Affordable variant announcement

Bajaj Auto recently announced its plans to introduce an affordable variant of the Chetak electric scooter in May. This decision comes in response to the growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) and the company's commitment to sustainability and innovation in the automotive industry.

Key features and speculated specifications

While specific details about the affordable variant are yet to be disclosed, industry experts speculate that it may retain many of the features that make the Chetak a popular choice among consumers. From its stylish design and comfortable ride to its eco-friendly electric powertrain, the affordable variant is expected to offer a compelling package for urban commuters.

Targeted pricing strategy

Bajaj Auto's decision to launch an affordable variant of the Chetak reflects its strategic pricing approach to capture a larger market share in the electric scooter segment. By offering a more budget-friendly option, the company aims to appeal to cost-conscious consumers who are considering the switch to electric mobility. The introduction of an affordable variant of the Chetak is expected to shake up the electric scooter market in India, potentially influencing competitors to adjust their pricing strategies and product offerings. As more players enter the EV space, consumers can look forward to increased competition and innovation in the market.

Redefining urban mobility

With concerns about air pollution and climate change on the rise, electric scooters have emerged as a sustainable solution for urban mobility. The launch of an affordable variant of the Chetak aligns with Bajaj Auto's vision of promoting clean and green transportation options for city dwellers.
