New Delhi: Hyundai's much-anticipated Creta EV has once again made headlines as its interior details have been unveiled ahead of its launch. Captured during testing, the electric SUV showcases a modern and tech-savvy cabin, featuring a dual-connected screen setup for the infotainment system and instrument cluster.

Tech-savvy features

The upcoming Creta EV is set to introduce several innovative features, including a new steering wheel design, similar to those seen in Hyundai's other electric vehicles. Additionally, it will incorporate a stack-mounted drive mode selector within the steering wheel for enhanced convenience. Recently, it was also spotted undergoing charging, hinting at its imminent arrival.

A fierce competitor set to disrupt the market?

In the Indian market, the Hyundai Creta EV will enter a competitive landscape, challenging rivals such as the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV, upcoming Tata Curve EV, Honda Elevate EV, and Maruti Suzuki EVX.

Striking design of Hyundai Creta

Setting itself apart from the conventional Creta SUV, the EV variant boasts a distinct exterior design with unique styling elements. Notable updates include a revamped front fascia with a new parametric jewel front grille and split headlamp design. Drawing inspiration from models like the Exeter and Venue, the Creta EV is expected to inherit the motor from Hyundai's Kona EV.

Enhanced lighting setup

The Creta EV features striking C-shaped LED daytime running lamps, larger than those found in its gasoline counterpart. Complemented by a closed front grille and updated headlamp setup, the electric SUV exudes a futuristic appeal. The rear profile is anticipated to showcase updated wraparound tail-lights and a redesigned bumper, while the side profile maintains the essence of the Creta facelift, with slight variations in its alloy wheels.

Futuristic interior

Inside the cabin, the Creta EV is likely to mirror the upcoming Creta facelift, with specific modifications tailored for the electric variant. Expect a full-digital instrument console and a centrally placed gear lever, reminiscent of Hyundai's Ioniq 5 EV. With a battery pack boasting approximately 50 kWh capacity, the Creta EV is poised to deliver an impressive range of over 500 km on a single charge. Anticipated to be priced around Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom), this electric SUV promises to redefine the driving experience in the Indian market.
