After several speculations in the industry, Elon Musks Tesla has done another round of layoffs via message on LinkedIn. It is worth noting that the fourth round of firing came a week after the Tesla CEO laid off two senior employees, one was Rebecca Tinucci, who was working as the senior director of Tesla Supercharge business and the other one was Daniel Ho, the head of the new vehicles program. Now, the company has sent layoff notices to more employees, who have shared their experiences on social media. Amid companies intensified workforce reductions, the employees have described the ongoing uncertainty and they were witnessing the slimming down of their teams.Dear Employee and Sincerely, Teslaare all you need to know about your worth at $TSLA and what Elon thinks about you (if he does at all).Seeing stories about how people sacrifice everything for Tesla only to be thrown out with the garbage during these layoffs. pic.twitter.com/ziXDwUe8sj— Stonk King ((((🌕)))) (@StonkKing4) May 6, 2024The layoff started last month when Musk announced that the company would cut down the global workforce by 10% of 140,000 people. According to the sources, Musk privately asked for 20% of job cuts because its quarterly vehicle deliveries fell by that much. It is worth noting that Tesla is facing one of its worst financial circumstances, with declining sales and profitability that are down 55% year over year. In addition to dealing with the declining demand for EVs worldwide, the corporation is facing more competition in China and the US.In an attempt to establish Tesla as a pioneer in autonomous driving, Musk has also been downplaying the companys auto business while teasing the release of a fully driverless robotaxi later this year.
