TVS recently introduced a new special edition for its RTR 160 and RTR 160 4V bikes in India, named the 'Blaze of Black' dark edition. This special edition boasts an all-black treatment, covering everything from the bodywork to the engine, exhaust, and various components, adding a touch of sophistication and style to the bikes.

Pricing Details

The 'Blaze of Black' edition of the RTR 160 is priced at Rs. 1.20 lakh, while the RTR 160 4V variant comes at Rs. 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), offering customers a premium experience with its distinctive blacked-out aesthetics.

Specifications and Features

The key highlight of these special editions is their sleek black finish, featuring a prominently displayed black TVS Apache stallion logo on the tank and a fully blacked-out exhaust. Despite the new colour scheme, both the RTR 160 and RTR 160 4V retain their existing features, including three riding modes, the TVS SmartXonnect system with voice assist, and an efficient LED headlight setup.

Engine Performance

The RTR 160 2V model is equipped with a 159.7 cc single-cylinder engine that utilises air cooling technology. This engine, combined with the selectable riding modes—Rain, Urban, and Sport, offers varying power and torque outputs. In Rain and Urban modes, the power output is capped at 13.14 bhp at 8,000 rpm, while in Sport mode, it escalates to 15.82 bhp. A similar pattern is observed in torque delivery, with lower figures in Rain and Urban modes. The top speed in Rain and Urban mode is slightly restricted at 97 kmph.

Conversely, the RTR 160 4V model packs a punch with its 160 cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine that churns out 17.35 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 14.73 Nm of peak torque, paired with a smooth five-speed gearbox. Just like its 2V counterpart, the 4V variant also offers three selectable riding modes, ensuring a personalised riding experience for enthusiasts.
