Breaking boundaries! Kia's EV3 SUV debuts globally with massive 600 km range

Kia has introduced its latest all-electric SUV, the EV3, boasting an impressive driving range of up to 600 km and rapid charging capabilities from 10 to 80 percent in just 31 minutes.

Kia, a prominent automaker, has recently unveiled its latest all-electric SUV, the EV3, on a global scale. This new addition to Kia's electric vehicle lineup boasts an impressive driving range of up to 600 km and offers rapid charging capabilities, allowing the battery to reach 10 to 80 per cent capacity in just 31 minutes. 

Market Rollout Plans

The EV3 is slated to make its debut in the South Korean market this July, with a subsequent launch planned for the European market in the latter half of 2024. Kia aims to gradually expand the availability of the EV3 to other regions following its entry into the European market.

Addressing Concerns About Electric Vehicles

In a statement, Ho Sung Song, President and CEO at Kia, emphasised the EV3's goal of broadening Kia's EV SUV experience to a wider audience. He highlighted the vehicle's impressive driving range and fast-charging capabilities, which are designed to address common concerns associated with electric vehicles.

Unique Design and Features

The EV3 stands out with its offering of nine body colours, including two exclusive options: Aventurine Green and Terracotta. Measuring 4,300mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and 1,560mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,680mm, the EV3 showcases a compact yet spacious design.

Technological Advancements

Underneath its sleek exterior, the EV3 is equipped with a front-wheel-drive electric powertrain based on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). This platform incorporates Kia's fourth-generation battery technology, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Battery Options and Performance

The EV3 is available in two variants: the Standard model with a 58.3kWh battery and the Long Range variant featuring an 81.4kWh battery. Both models are powered by a 150kW/283Nm electric motor, delivering a remarkable acceleration time of 0-100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds.
