On April 1, Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal introduced a groundbreaking electric scooter named 'Ola Solo', claiming it as "India's first autonomous electric scooter." Highlighting its features, Aggarwal emphasized that the scooter would be a "fully autonomous, AI-enabled, and traffic smart scooter."

Despite the announcement, many individuals viewed it as an April Fool's Day prank. Responding to the skepticism surrounding 'Ola Solo', Aggarwal clarified the situation through a post on X. He acknowledged the viral response to the announcement and the ensuing debate over its authenticity.

In his post, Aggarwal stated, "We announced Ola Solo yesterday. It went viral, and many people debated whether it’s real or an April Fool’s joke!" He also shared a video showcasing the prototype of the Ola Solo scooter.

Aggarwal mentioned that while the video was intended to provide amusement, the underlying technology is a result of extensive work and prototyping by their engineering teams. He expressed pride in the innovative work of their engineers and the potential showcased by Ola Solo.

Aggarwal further elaborated on the significance of Ola Solo, describing it as a glimpse into the future of mobility. He revealed that their engineering teams are actively exploring autonomous and self-balancing technology for two-wheelers, hinting at future products that may incorporate these advancements.
