Tulsi Vivaah has great significance in Hindu religion. It falls on Ekadashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha in Kartik Maas. According to Hindu scriptures, Lord Vishnu wakes up after four months of sleep. After he wakes up, all kind of auspicious works start again.

The marriage of Tulsi and Shaligram is also performed on the Ekadashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. It is believed that by solemnising Tulsi Vivaah (marriage) one gets the same results as Kanyadaan and opens the doors of salvation. According to Hindu panchang, Tulsi Vivaah will take place on Devuthani Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month on November 23.

Importance of Tulsi Vivaah

It is believed that by doing Tulsi marriage, one gets the same results as Kanyadaan, hence if a person does not have a daughter, then he/she must earn the virtue of donating a daughter by doing Tulsi vivaah. The person who performs Tulsi Vivaah with all the rituals opens the doors to attaining salvation. Also, by worshiping Tulsi and Lord Shaligram properly, one can get blessings of Lord Vishnu.
