Adi-Parashakti was worshipped by Lord Rudra at the beginning of the universe as the creator. Goddess Adi-Parashakti is thought to have had no form. The greatest Goddess of Power Adi-Parashakti, manifested as Siddhidatri from Lord Shiva's left side.

On the ninth day of Navratri, people worship the goddess Siddhidatri. It is belived that the planet Ketu receives energy and direction from the goddess Siddhidatri. Consequently, she is in charge of planet Ketu.

The goddess Siddhidatri rides the lion while seated on Kamal. She has four hands in the illustration. She is holding a Gada in one of her right hands, a Chakra in the other, a lotus flower in one of her left hands, and a Shankh in the other.

She is the Goddess who holds all Siddhis and grants them to her followers. By the grace of Goddess Siddhidatri, even Lord Shiva attained all Siddhis. In addition to humans, she is revered by Devas, Gandharvas, Asuras, Yakshas, and Siddhas. When Goddess Siddhidatri emerged from Lord Shiva's left side, he was given the name Ardha-Narishwar.

Kanya Puja on Maha Navami

Kanya puja during Navratri holds great significance. Nine girls and one boy are required for Kanya Puja. Nine girls are worshiped considering them as the form of goddess and the boy as the form of Bhairav. First of all, wash the feet of girls and boys with clean water and make them sit on the seat. Apply tilak to all the girls and boys. After this, perform aarti of the girls and the boy in the form of Bhairav. Feed the girls with Halwa, Chana and Puri. Before feeding food to the girls, make sure to offer it to the Mother Goddess in the temple. After the girls have finished eating, give them fruits as Prasad and also give Dakshina as per your capacity. Take blessings from them and ask for forgiveness of your sins.
