These practises are thought to lessen Pitru Dosh and offer redemption to ancestors. Organising auspicious gatherings, eating alcohol, purchasing new clothing or shoes, and visiting well-known temples are some of the actions that are deemed unlucky during Shradh Paksha.
This year, Pitru Paksha is beginning on September 29, 2023. The first day of Pitru Paksha is commonly known as Purnima shradh or pratipada.
