In Hinduism, Ekadashi Tithi is referred to as the ideal date. Ekadashi is supposed to be Lord Vishnus favourite date because it was created from the body of Lord Srihari. It has been regarded as the best and most revered of all dates. Jaya Ekadashi falls on Shukla Paksha in the Magh month. Lord Vishnu is worshipped and fasted for on Jaya Ekadashi, also known as Bhoomi Ekadashi.Jaya Ekadashi will be observed on February 1st, 2023, this year. On February 1, Jaya Ekadashi will be commemorated, and the next day, Dwadashi, a fast known as Bhishma Dwadashi, will be observed. Jaya Ekadashi Tithi is observed on January 31 at midnight. On Wednesday, it will begin at 1:53 a.m. and end at 2.01 p.m.Brahmavaivarta Purana states that on Jaya Ekadashi, one should worship Lord Vishnu and observe a fast. Fasting on this day allows one to rid themselves of all the misdeeds from their previous birth and purges sin and the vampire vagina from the native. On this day, fasting yields virtues comparable to a significant sacrifice like Ashwamedha.According to the Padma Purana, on Jaya Ekadashi, a Gandharva named Malyavan and an apsara named Pushvavati were dancing in paradise. When they first met, both were interrupted by one another, which disrupted the rhythm of their dancing and singing. Outraged, Indra cursed them both. Malyavan and Pushpavati were transformed into vampires and sent to the Himalayas. They had no food and couldnt sleep because of the bitter cold. They were transformed into their original shape as they unknowingly observed the Jaya Ekadashi fast.On this day, Lord Vishnu should be properly worshipped. After taking a bath on this day, take a vow to fast for Lord Vishnu and offer water. Offer fruits and yellow flowers. When a person offers Lord Vishnu sweet basil on this day, they receive the greatest good fortune. After that, do aarti, spend the day listening to the tale of Jaya Ekadashi, and provide the needy food, water, clothing, etc.
