Masik Shivratri is celebrated every month on the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha and Kartik Maas Shivratri will be observed on November 11, 2023. 

According to mythology, this day is dedicated to Lord Mahadev and Goddess Parvati. The marriage of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati is described in the Shiva Purana as occurring on the Chaturdashi day of Krishna Paksha. It has particular significance as a result. Every request is granted by keeping a fast on the monthly Shivratri day and worshipping Goddess Parvati and Mahadev together. Married women and unmarried girls follow this fast. Married women benefit from happiness and good fortune as a result of this fast.
