Auto News: MG Windsor EV, a mid-size SUV launched in late 2024, has created a stir in India. This electric car was liked by the customers because of its features and range, and the lifetime warranty on the battery that comes with it has also made the customers worry-free. In just six months, over 20,000 people have purchased it.The company offers a lifetime battery warranty for customers purchasing the Windsor EV. This means that the battery can be repaired as long as the vehicle remains in use, should it fail. However, this warranty applies exclusively to the first owner of the car. If the car is sold, the second owner will receive a warranty for 8 years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first. Additionally, the car itself comes with a 3-year warranty.
The MG Windsor EV is priced between Rs 15.01 lakh and Rs 17.09 lakh (on-road, Delhi), depending on the variant selected. This electric vehicle is offered in three distinct variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence. It comes equipped with a 38kWh battery pack that offers a range of 331 km.
The new Windsor showcases an advanced and sleek design, featuring a unique split headlight arrangement. Its side mirrors are cleverly mounted on the A-pillar, and the door handles blend seamlessly into the bodywork. The car sits on alloy wheels and comes with a rear spoiler. The number plate holder is positioned on the rear bumper, and a charging port is placed on the front left fender for added convenience.
Inside, the car offers a high-tech experience with a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system that stands out prominently. The air conditioning vents are designed horizontally, and the cabin is dressed in a two-tone upholstery. The instrument cluster is entirely digital, and the rear passengers benefit from dedicated AC vents. The steering wheel is a three-spoke design, offering multiple functionalities at the driver's fingertips.
